FAQs
You asked us...
As with all areas of marketing, a strategy gives your marketing efforts structure, intention, purpose, and the ability to measure your hard work against your business goals!
If you don’t have a social media strategy in place, you’ll often be putting out content without a real purpose (and often with minimal results).
A social media strategy can:
-
Set clear, measurable objectives
-
Define which actions you should take
-
Provide a purpose for every piece of content you publish
-
Help you connect more authentically with your audience
-
Support wider business goals
-
Keep your marketing fresh and relevant (through analysing and tracking data)
We cover all of the fundamental elements of a social media strategy in this course, so if you’re unsure where to start, the Master Your Social Media Strategy course is the perfect place!

There might not seem to be much of a difference, but community really has become a buzzword for a good reason!
A following can mean a lot of eyes on your brand, but it doesn’t mean that these people are advocates of your brand and mission – it’s more of an audience viewing your content than people genuinely connecting and engaging with it.
By comparison, a community is gained by emotionally connecting with your audience because it’s more personalised, by encouraging connection and shared interests and adding value.
Module 3 of this course specifically focuses on community marketing, including how to create content that drives loyalty, how to build a community, and how to drive community engagement and maximise community management to make an impact.
You’ll become a part of the Girls in Marketing community, which means access to our entire digital marketing learning platform, including:
-
A full library of digital resources, including guides, templates, checklists, and blogs
-
Self-paced courses covering a variety of marketing topics with expert co-creators, with accompanying tasks and resources
-

-
1:1 sessions with marketing mentors
-
Networking with other marketers, including our Slack channel, events, and a supportive environment
We’d love to have you as part of our community!

Firstly, it’s important to know that self-doubt and imposter syndrome can (and do) show up for a lot of marketers!
It’s important to have boundaries and expectations – you have a valuable and highly useful skillset, so try not to attach too much pressure to your work when you get feedback that isn’t immediately positive.
Setting clear boundaries (holidays, specific communication channels, timelines, deadlines, approval processes, clear deliverables) means that you can remove any doubt that you’ve covered what you need to cover! It also stops you from getting burnt out and stuck in a cycle of self-doubt.
But, when in doubt, give yourself some affirmations! Jess Bruno covers some amazing affirmations in module 5, so be sure to check it out if you sign up for our membership.
