2021
THE MEMBERSHIP LAUNCHED
In just one year, Girls in Marketing became home to hundreds of marketers, all building a career they love with the help and support of our courses, resources and unmatched marketing community.
2020
WE became a business
Having witnessed the appetite for a platform like Girls in Marketing, Olivia saw a gap in the market to create something powerful. In 2020 Olivia left her marketing job and made the leap to run Girls in Marketing full-time.
2022
WE SCALED
2022 was a year of growth for Girls in Marketing and our team. We hosted in-person events, delivered new marketing courses, worked on exciting brand partnerships and onboarded corporate marketing teams into our membership.
2023
NEW MEMBERSHIP PLATFORM
The Girls in Marketing Membership reached new heights with the launch of our new learning platform filled with tons of new courses, webinars and other learning resources.
2024
GROWTH, GROWTH, GROWTH
We grew to over 500,000 social media followers, thousands of podcast listeners and more and more marketers engaging with the membership and other learning opportunities.

2025
refining our 'why'
In 2025 we wrapped up our industry-leading podcast to focus on making our learning resources, membership and programmes as value-packed as they can possibly be.

GIRLS IN MARKETING WAS FOUNDED
Girls in Marketing began as a passion project designed by our Founder, Olivia, to create a space for women in the marketing industry to learn, grow and meet other marketers.

Olivia Hanlon founded Girls in Marketing with a simple intention: to create the kind of space she wished existed when she was starting out.
What began as a small community in 2019 has since grown into a global platform supporting thousands of marketers to build confidence, develop their skills, and feel a true sense of belonging within the industry.
Named in Forbes 30 Under 30, Olivia has trained over 30,000 marketers, partnered with leading brands including Adobe and Modash, and built an audience of over 600,000 across social platforms. But beyond the numbers, her mission has always remained the same: to create spaces where ambition feels safe, success feels accessible, and no one has to navigate their career alone.
